Shown as a 2 year old in 2008, ‘Michael’ had a wonderful year. He was Grand Champion Half Welsh at the American National Welsh show, as well as qualifying for the Sport Pony Star Search Challenge at the Royal Winter Fair. He was Reserve Junior Champion Half Welsh at the New York State Fair, and at the Genesee Valley Breeders show, was Reserve Champion 2 year old, and Show Highly Commended, one of a very few ponies at this show. In November at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, he was 2nd in the 2 year old Half Welsh class, 2nd again in the Sport Pony, 2 year old class, and 4th in the Sport Pony Star Search Challenge. Michaels was also WPCSA North East Champion in the Half Welsh Colts and Fillies, and Champion Half Welsh in the NEWPA standings. He went to just 2 Welsh shows, so we are very pleased with the results. We would like to thank Jeffrey Kohler, Relhok Farm and Jon and Sarah Bates, High Hopes Farm for showing Michael to his wins. |

Michael travels well, and likes to go to the horse shows. He will begin his under saddle training this summer. |
